ORABOND® 1399TM forms part of the AM2 range of high performance double coated tapes. It consists of a paper tissue carrier, coated on both sides with a modified solvent acrylate adhesive. It has a very good resistance to UV radiation, extreme temperatures, chemicals, solvents and humidity.

Its highly shear-resistant adhesive has an excellent durability when attached to metal, varnish and high energy surfaces. Because of its high adhesive mass it is also appropriate for rough or structured surfaces.

• Carrier: Paper tissue, 12.7 g/m²
• Liner: White silicone-coated paper, 90 g/m², with blue ORAFOL branding
• Adhesive: Modified solvent acrylate
• Modified solvent-acrylate adhesive on both sides (total thickness 190 micron)
• High adhesive and shear strength
• Good resistance to UV radiation, temperature, solvents, humidity

Area of use

Used as an adhesive medium for polyethylene, polyester, and polyether foams as well as for the extension and splicing of
paper, textiles, plastic and metal films where high shear strength, adhesion strength and temperature resistance are required.
